Thought this was interesting and deserved its own thread. Thanks to Dave for this. Anyone know what became of Mrs Hook and her subsequent marriage?

I have searched the internet too and can find no more info on Hook's wife over and above the superficial info above.

Married Ada Letitia Taylor at St. Andrew's Church, Islington, London 10/4/1897 and had issue, two daughters, Victoria Catherine and Letitia Jean.

thanks Graves, I have read about Henry's later marriage.

I was wondering if anyone knew what became of the erstwhile Mrs Hook's marriage/life after she remarried, illegally as it turns out.

(Wonder how she and Mr X felt when Henry barged in thru the front day shouting, "Honey, I'm home!")

Hi All .
I have the book ' The Life Of Henry Hook ' by Barry .C. Johnson , I've quickly looked through it and no mention of
what we are looking for . I will try another book and see what turns up .

Alfred Hook married Comfort Jones of Newent in 1870. Marriage dissolved 14 Jan 1897 due to his wife's adultery.
