Isn’t there a confusion of Gods in Question 1? I thought it was Adonis rather than Apollo.

You may have cracked it Andy. The only two I'm not sure of are Forester and Boadicea. I know Boadicea was quarantined for 6 weeks for small pox in Simons Bay.
These are the answers I've come up with which sort of match yours.

Active 7th August 1878
Tenedos 20th December 1878
Shah 6th March 1879
Forester 8th April 1879
Boadicea beginning of May 1879

4 out of 5 are correct. HMS Boadicea arrived at Durban 15 March 1879.

John,
