" Mr Arthur Crawley, of 52. Moorland-road, Old Goole has been granted the old campaigners life pension. He is the first in the Coole district to recieve the award, which granted under Royal Warrant to old campaigners over the age 65. and it is the rate of 6s per week. Crawley became a soldier 48 years ago. and his first fighting was in the Zulu war of 1878-79. During the South African War he was a member the advance guard which marched into Pretoria"
