Hi All,
More questions then answers, James Hopkins probably died Sept Qtr 1926 in Williton District Somerset [includes Minehead]. Also probably 1911 census address Ilminster, Somerset, born 1853 Whitestaunton Somerset, Married to Anne 1 Child, he is a Carter on Farm.
There is a J Hopkins No.2049 on the 99th Roll, and a T Hopkins No.1905 on the 1/13th Roll.
Also a James Hopkins attested for the Somerset Militia 19 March 1877 age 24, born circa 1853 Bristol.
Many Militiaman transfer to the Army.
