We are all here to communicate and enjoy the various discussions and information on the Anglo Zulu War of 1879. Opinions will vary, you will agree and disagree with one another, we will have debates, and so it goes.
There is no excuse for harassment or bullying of anyone by another person on this site.
The above applies to the main frame areas of the forum.

1999 Gunner John Rowe, Royal Artillery, 7th Brigade, Number 11 Battery, he did take part in the Anglo-Zulu of 1879.

John Rowe, born circa 1853/55 Oadby Leicestershire. Attested 31 Aug 1874 age 19, to 22nd Brigade R Artillery No.2681, the 22nd became 7th brigade and his number changed to 1999 11/7th. To Cape 16 May 1876 arriving 19 june 1876, served Fort Napier 3 May 1877, Zulu War, Cape Town 21 Aug 1879, to St Helena 11 Oct 1880, met and married Elizabeth Lyon 16 July 1881 on St Helena, to UK and discharge 31 Aug 1895 21 yrs. 1901,1911,1921, census various addresses in Leicester, he is Bricklayers Labourer then Park Assistant, married to Elizabeth with two children.
