Hi All,
William Wallace Moore attested 4 July 1859, born 11 Oct 1843 Hoyloft, Thetford Norfolk, to 91st No.316, 1871 army census, North Camp, Alrershot, Pvt 91st, Zulu War medal given 13 Sept 1879, Pvt, discharged Cape Town 7 May 1880, passage to UK added to service final discharge 17 Aug 1880 21yrs. 1911 census Thetford, Norfolk, married to Mary, he is a Labourer. William was buried 22 Nov 1913 at St Cuthbert's Church, Thetford, Norfolk. Age 70.
David Moore was a bit more difficult, i found a David Moore dying March Qtr 1919 in Wayland District this includes the districts of Banham and Thetford but he was aged 85, giving a birth date of 1834 this would make 9 years older then his brother. I found another reference transferred from Coldstream Gds to 91st 30 June 1871, No.812, this David born Stamford Staffordshire. I also found another David Moore in the 91st but he was discharged before the Zulu War. On the 1901 census Brandon Thetford, Married to Susan 2 children, he is a Horseman on a Farm.
There are three differant villages near Thetford with very similier names, Banham, Brandon, and Barnham, which all appear in the references.
Rai Keynshamlighthorse.
