Hi All,
Edward Frederick De Board Deboard [some records the name is split others not] enlisted 19 June 1877, age 19, Born 1858 Daventry, Northamptonshire. to 29 Brig No.999. Had previously served in the Leicestershie Militia from 23 Sept 1876 to 11 June 1877. Transferred 24 March 1878 36th Regt No.2131, Transferred 38/2164 99th 4 Dec 1878. Served 1 year 2 months in Natal and Zululand. Discharged 22 July 1880 at Devizes served 3yrs. No mention why he was discharged after only 3 years.
1881 census Carrington St, Leicester, he is a shoe presser.
On 31st May 1882 he marries Esther Bailey at St George's Church in Leicester.
1891 Census Northampton St, Leicester, he is a shoe pressman, married to Esther with 4 Children.
He dies 22 Nov 1893 and is buried in Welford Rd Cemetery, Leicester, Ref 73794, Unconsecrated M/1135.
