The draft that was wrecked on the Clyde.

I always found it interesting that Carey and Brander had the shared experience of the wreck of the Clyde, and then would find themselves opposing one and another in the court-martial.

Hi all
Marmaduke Stourton 63rd Regt would die while Commanding the Draft on it's March to Pietermaritzburg , passing away on April 18th , seems it could've been Sunstroke / Exhaustion / Heart attack / Cardiac Arrest ??? , he did say he felt his life blood seemed to be ebbing away and that he was nearly done , he decided to not fall out and push on up another trying hill ...when the Bugle sounded ' Halt ' he basically fainted and died an hour or so later , very sad end for Stourton and his relatives .
