Yep, thought of bidding on it then decided Id rather have a new car and a nice holiday instead.

You still may have a chance ! , I wasn't aware until I was notified that Saxtys Medals are actually replacements , therefore , they won't be as expensive as I , or you may believe !? . Then again if someone wants them even though they are replacements .....you never know what may happen !. Salute

Was the medal a replacement made in Saxty's lifetime (that is, di he actually own and wear it?) or was it a later replacement?
That would make a difference to the price surely?
