| To all members of the Forum. (hope this is okay Pete) The Clash of Empires Exhibition enters its second week tomorrow. There has been a lot of very positive feedback and this coming week is symposium week with some fine guest speakers talking on a whole range of subjects connected with the AZW. The shop is well stocked with a fine range of new and second hand books including the latest hot off the press titles such as Volumes 1 and 2 of Ian Knight and Lee Stevenson's "Rorke's Drift by those who were there", Neil Thornton and Michael Dennigans' "Witnessess at iSandlwana" and John Laband's latest book about Lord Chelmsford. The exhibition has the first 30 of Laband's book in the UK and he will be attending this week so if you want a signed copy you know where to come. There is also a wide range of Clash of Empires branded goodies and a really nice limited edition hardback programme that lists and gives descriptions of all the items on display as well as containing articles related to other aspects of the Zulu War. The Exhibition runs until the 31st July is open from 9.30am to 4.30pm and is FREE More details can be found here [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]This is one off exhibition never to be repeated and if you have any interest in this subject (which you obviously do or you wouldn't be reading this) then you will not want to miss it. | As we enter our third week the Exhibition is going really well. Mid week we hit our 1000th visitor and the symposium talks at the end of the week were rammed out. With some of the big names in the AZW community such as John Laband and Ian Knight giving historical talks and interviews, Cam Simson spoke about the FLH and the NMP (both of his books being for sale at the exhibition) and yesterday there was a showing of the film with Ian Knight, Henry Coleman, Sheldon Hall and Lindizwe Ngobese sitting on a panel afterwards to answer questions about the movie. It is always great to see it on the big screen. Tim Rose turned up with his soldiers in various different uniforms of the period including an Imperial Mounted Infantryman and described how the different items of kit were used. I was honoured to give presentations about Alan Gardner and Addiscombe Military College. The shop has been extremly busy with many of the signed copies of the books on offer being snapped up with people being able to speak to the various authors throughout the week. It really has been a great (but hectic and tiring) week. If anyone is thinking about attending I would advise doing it sooner rather than later as the stock of various Zulu war books and other items in the shop is starting to run low. Its well worth a visit and somthing that I can't see being repeated. Hope to see you there Kate |

| I know Kate has previously mentioned it, but it is worth reinforcing that the entry to the exhibition is FREE!
Now there’s an incentive!

| *** Bump *** Last Saturday for the Clash of Empires Exhibition. I think we have had nearly 1700 people attend over the last 4 weeks which is fantastic. The last day is this Monday, the 31st of July. Even if you haven't booked a slot online you can just turn up and it is well worthwhile. And its free!! If you have any interest at all in the Anglo Zulu war this exhibition is not to be missed. Kate |

| Good Luck Kate, Thanks for the tea on Thursday! Best cup of tea I have tasted this decade! Should I mention it is the only cup of tea I have drunk this decade? JY |

| Thanks John Seems I was under on my estimate for the number of people we have had through. Its a lot more than I thought. I think we are going to hit the 2000 mark tomorrow which is just fantastic. Last day tomorrow. Last chance to see some amazing AZW artifacts and to visit a once in a lifetime exhibition. Kate |
