Melton Prior of The Illustrated London News, and Frederick Villiers of The Graphic. Between them, they could boast of having more campaign medals than any contemporary soldier. (I didn't. Until now)

hi littlehand / john .
Fairly certain they werent awarded the zulu war medal , I know one of them tried to claim it , but was
knocked back by chelmsford after the war , I think it was the reporter that rode back to natal straight after ulundi
he thought he deserved the medal for going through enemy territory at night , Chelmsford turned the claim down
saying that he didnt carry any official dispatches , therefore the medal couldnt be granted.
cheers 90th.
