| [isas1,
Thank you for the 'welcome aboard', and for the Shah Memorial link. Being an old navy man I have developed an interest in the men of the Naval Brigade of the Zulu War. I am looking for any information such as diaries, photos, letters, military correspondence, etc. that will help give me an incite into these men. They contributed greatly to the war effort by providing men to help build forts and erect ponts to transport troops across rivers. They brought ship's guns, gatling guns and rockets which proved useful in defeating the enemy. Members of the Naval Brigade were at Isandlawana, Inyezane, Eshowe, Gingndlovu, and Ulundi. Any information that can be provided to help me in my research is greatfully appreciated.

| Sorry that I havn't replied to some of your recent posting, but I have been away for a short while, and hadn't had the time to visit the site.
Oldhistorian2, I am looking for everyone in particular who was part of the Naval Brigade. I am attempting to reconstruct the movements of the different companies of the brigade. (Who was where, and when.) Ship's logs and diaries would provide the most information. I am not in the postition right now that I can get to the archives at Kew.
1879graves, I have seen the Norbury photos that were listed by the auction house that had the album. I'm sure that there were many others that were not shown. Maybe one day the individual who purchased the album might share them.
S.D. Thank you for the link to website.
