Major Surender Singh. Welcome to the forum. So glad you joined. Thanks for bringing the story to the public eye. It was 1879Graves who posted it on the site, So well done to both of you. Like Pete said it is an honour.

Found this on the link to the independent story regarding Bromheads Grave.

RECIPIENT OF VICTORIA CROSS MAJOR GONVILLE BROMHEAD FINALLY DOWN IN INDIA.

Surender Singh. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. One of our member picked up on the story and it went from there. We would consider it an honour if you would join our discussion forum.

Major Surender Singh. Good to see you on the forum.

I don’t suppose you have any idea how much it would cost to repair and tidy up Bromhead’s Grave. I for one would donate to have this done. But I would not know who to contact and how I would go about it.

Major Surender Singh Could you point me in the right direction? Hope i'm not being to Imposing on your time.

G

Major Surender Singh. Thanks for joining. It was in deed a nice surprise to see you name. I hope you find the forum useful. It already looks like you have new friends. I will go along with the rest and willing to donate to tidy up Major Bromhead grave. If is possible to arrange.

Maybe we could get in touch with some of the Zulu war Authors. Like John Young, Mike Snook. Kris Wheatley, arranged the James Marshall re-dedication. I’m not saying have a full-blown re-dedication, but it would be nice. I feel we should do something, but it needs experts because none of us know where to start. I’m also willing to donate.
