Colonel. D.C. Drury-Lowe, C.B. (Late 17th Lancers.) Commanded the regiment. throughout its operations in the Campaign, including the cavalry affair at eZungeni, and the battle of Ulundi.

Bt. Lieut. Col. Boulderson, S. Served with the Regiment. throughout its operations in the campaign. Was present at the Battle of Ulundi. (Mentioned in despatches, Brevet of Lieut. Colonel.) Captain. Clark, S.Y. Served with the Regiment. In the campaign until the end of June. Was present at the cavalry affair At eZungeni. Commanded a wing of the Lancers and a troop of the K.D.Gs. attached to the Flying Column. Captain. Duke, J.C. Served with the Regiment. Throughout its operations in the campaign, and were present at the Battle of Ulundi. Capt. Alexander succeeded Capt. Clark in command of the squadron employed on the line of Communications between Fort Marshall and Ulundi. Capts. Pleydell-Bouverie and Swaine were also present at The cavalry affair at eZungeni. as were;

Lieutenant. Neels, M.G.
Lieutenant. Jenkins, H.C.
Lieutenant. Purvis, H.
Lieutenant. Fortescue, H.
Lieutenant. Steele, T.A
Lieutenant. Herbert, E.B.
Lieut. and Adjt. Fortescue, Hon. L.H.D.
2nd Lieutenant. Anstruther-Thomason, C.J.
2nd Lieutenant. Butler, C.H
2nd Lieutenant. St. Quintin, F.D.H. All served with the Regiment. throughout its operations in the campaign. Lieut. Russell was present at the cavalry affair at eZungeni, and was employed on the line of communications to Ulundi. Lieut. Wood, Neeld, Jenkins, Purvis, Herbert, Fortescue, Anstruther-Thomson, and Butler were present At the battle of Ulundi, Lieut. Neeld acting as Orderly Officer to Col. Lowe, and Lieut. Jenkins as Adjt. o f the Regiment. The latter was severely wounded in the engagement. Lieut. Purvis served as Transport Officer during the war; Lieut. Steele, H. Fortescue, and St. Quintin on the line of communication ns to Ulundi. The latter officer was Also present at the cavalry affair at eZungeni. Paymaster. Brown, J. Capt. Bro wn proceeded with the Regiment. to South Africa, and was employed at Pietermaritzburg during the campaign.

Vet. -Surgeon. Lambert, J.
Vet. -Surgeon. Raymond.
All served with the Regiment. throughout its operations in the campaign were present at the Battle of Ulundi,
