We are all here to communicate and enjoy the various discussions and information on the Anglo Zulu War of 1879. Opinions will vary, you will agree and disagree with one another, we will have debates, and so it goes.

| Thanks for the welcome! I'm a 40-something, always been interested in 19th century British 'colonial' history, and a wargamer. Thought I knew a bit about the 1879 war until I found this forum, by lucky chance, and saw the depth of knowledge shown by the membership - I'm impressed!
Current project is a wargame campaign game based on the AZW, following a similar and very enjoyable excursion to the Sudan circa 1885. I'm trying to hunt down photos/portraits/carte de visite of the various British colonels and other senior officers involved in the war. The better known ones are not so difficult, but many of the others remain obscure, online at least - can anyone point me in the right direction? |
