in Ian Knights book Zulu Rising he states that during the war in Rhodesia (matabelele war) he used to pose for photographs pointing guns at cowering natives.. do these photos still exist i wonder?

Good post. I haven't seen these photo's,but I would not doubt it for a second. He reminds me of General Custer always wanting to be in the media. just read the opening chapter in his book and the way he descripes himself. Full of self importance.

that was exactly what i was thinking .. vey much like custer indeed. although this chap probably told alot of tall stories e.g. having to eat a child when starving and the fact that no record of his service existed before 1872 in new zealand
