By the way CTSG that is an interesting name. I was under the impression that most regard Lord Chelmsford as very much responsible for the disaster at Islandwana. I presume by your name that you do not agree. I would really be interested to hear your thoughts on his Lordship.

I am sorry I was responding to a rather cryptic response from Springbok not from Elizabeth Hogan. I am new here and seem to be stirring up some sort of issue which has obviously discussed in the past. Took the opportunity to read a few old threads and sort of understand what Springkbok is referring to.

To answer Erics Question on why CTSG admires Chelmsford. My tongue firmly in cheek responce ( goodness would I ever ctitisise CTSG) was that CTSG has been rather 'spirited' and dare I say it verbose?
