| Hi all. I was browsing the forum a few hours ago, and came across the (you tube) films of Ian Knight.
Which brings me to my question? Are there any audiotapes of the AZW? By the well known authors like Kris Wheatley (Genealogy) Peter Quantrill and Ron Lock, Ian Knight? (History)
Mainly for the likes of me who’s “eyes ain’t what they used to be”! There has to be a target audience for this type of thing. |

| Old H. Here's a link to some David Rattray’s CD set. I have never thought of this myself. But I could quite easily lie in bed and listen to one of these audio books. Let me know what you think. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| hi all
i have D. RATTRAY"S CD, well and truly worth every penny, i also have I. KNIGHTS casette tape " WET WITH
YESTERDAYS BLOOD ". the rattray cd was on ebay uk a couple of days back, sold for only 29 quid, i payed, i think , 45-50 quid from the ROYAL REGIMENT OF WALES ONLINE SHOP. The knight tape is often on ebay uk or ebay.com (U.S.A). IAN is the one that is actualy selling it. well and truly worth having, i think it may only be 8-10 quid. I actualy bought a throwing spear from IAN, on ebay, which was used at HLOBANE and KHAMBULA. A reasonable purchase till AUSTRALIAN CUSTOMS got involved !!!!!..
cheers 90th. |

| I paid £55.00 for my C.D set, but like I said worth every penny. 90th you say, you brought a throwing spear from Ian that was used at HLOBANE and KHAMBULA. You do mean Ian Knight the author. |

| hi littlehand.
yes, the spear was purchased from I.K., he often sells books, tapes etc on ebay uk. he sold a zulu shield about a month ago, he asked on his item description that any one who lived in australia not to bid, because of the strict customs laws with hides coming into AUSTRALIA. He is easy to deal with. cheers 90th. |

| hi oh 2.
not sure if you are interested , there is a d.v.d , written by RON LOCK, and researched by PETER QUANTRILL. called ISANDLWANA - ZULU BATTLEFIELD, it is available from the ROYAL REGIMENT OF WALES online shop, i think it was about 10 quid , some of the shots are taken by helicopter , and they use black and white footage from the first ever !! FEATURE FILM about the zulu war, made about 1912 , it is also known that some of the zulus in the movie , were actually at ISANDLWANA in 1879. the name of the movie escapes me at the moment. well worth watching, helps you understand the lay of the land of the battlefield. cheers 90th. |
