Subject: Orders found in 2001?? Sun Jan 08, 2012 4:23 pm
Apparently a set of orders identical from the ones found on Durnfords body came to light in 2001 when they were brought to a meeting held by Prof. John Laband, Ian Knight and Adrian Greaves.
Has anyone seen them or know where they are kept??
Cheers

Yet Durnford came to Isandhlwana at the request of Chelmsford, so it had received orders ...

Were these not the orders displayed at the Zulu War Exhibition.

Hi
Apparently they are the same as Durnfords orders, and where picked up along with some of Chelmsfords other papers by one of the burial party, probebly outside his tent.
They where taken to a talk in 2001 and examined.
They concluded that these where Col. Glyns orders to column commanders.
