Springbok. Was that the donga, used during the filming of Zulu Dawn. Certainly looks like the one where the British were running and the Sgt is shouting " Take the high ground"

CTSG I do know that Zulu Dawn was made in the area so its highly possible, there are a number of Donga's crossing the plain. One is around twice the depth as this one.

Forgive me for being fussy, but the correct spelling is 'donga', which is in essence a dry water course that is usually referred to in British accounts as a 'nullah' (which sounds as if it is an Indian name). Regards, Ken
