| Hi Lawrie
Welcome - I agree with everything that has already been said.
A few words of caution - I would advise logging in from Home - doing it at work can be very addictive and not good for your career!!
Try and get an original subject going - How about "was Durnford responsible for the defat at Isandlwana"
Dont get in a bidding war at the auctions with the deep pocketed members !! (They know who they are !)
But seriously , as a fairly new member myself, this forum is populated with some incredibly knowledgable individuals who are always happy to point you in the right direction on any research you are doing.
Enjoy

When you get to the museum, ask to see Pam Mcfadden the curator. She really is an amazing lady and very very helpful. If you have any special issues, original documents etc stored in the archives she or Norman, her assistant, will go out of there way to assist. Just be aware though that Pam runs the museum on a shoe string budget and all contributions are greatfully recieved.
Cheers |

Cheers Interestingly enough I spoke to Pam last week and have arranged to meet her. I must agree with you, she seem such a pleasant and helpful person and certainly went out of her way to assist me. Regards, Lawrie. |
