Lt.-Col. James Henry Reynolds, V.C. was born on 3 February 1844 at Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He died on 4 March 1932 at age 88 at Victoria, London, England.1 He was buried at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetary, Kensal Rise, London, England. Lt.-Col. James Henry Reynolds, V.C. gained the rank of Surgeon-Major in the service of the Army Medical Department.1 He was decorated with the award of Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 17 June 1879, for his actions on 22-23 January 1879.1 He fought in the Battle of Rorke's Drift on 22 September 1879.
