And the Keane relevence ? . You arent confusing this keane with the one whose button was supposed to have been found at Isandlwana ? . The Keane in the book is ' John Keane 25B / 88 , 1st / 24th , Private , Enlisted At Manchester , Lancashire 18 / 3 / 74 ; Age 18 yrs 6 mths . Effects Claimed By His Mother , South Africa Medal With Clasp 1879 . This from Norman Holme's
The Noble 24th . If you are thinking its the same one I very much doubt it . Salute

Thanks for posting that.

I do have what I think is the same work on file on this contraption, but like most things on this computer, it seems to have a mind of its own and wandered off into another folder somewhere, but no doubt I will find it when I am not looking for it. I will have to start putting things on memory sticks or discs, then I will know where they are.

I found the Bertram Mitford book, it was in one of the boxes 'Mrs Shifter' had been putting things in, so I will have a good read of it now that it has been found.

Hi mate.

Yes, I have heard that it is a good read.

The version I have is from the 'Forgotten Books' by the 'Classic Reprint Series', and thumbing through it, it seems to be a large print book, which will be great for my eyes, I won't need the magnifying glass, jusy my reading specs. Very Happy
