545 Floggings ordered during the Zulu War

Does anyone have any information concerning the 545 floggings ordred during the Zulu War. Records must have been kept. Did the punishment fit the crime. I know we have some accounts on the forum. But I wasn't aware of the amount of men flogged. Any help would be apricated. Drink appears to have been the main problem, so how easy was it for the soldiers to obtain alcohol. By all account SA wasn't exactly cheap place during the Zulu War period.

24th compaired to Zulu Punishment, the soldiers got off lightly.

Thanks LH. Can you have alook to see if you can find any individual accounts, or regimental documents. I see in the image you posted shows one officer making a note. It's these note I'm after. I'm hoping for information regarding Names, Ranks, Regiment, Crime, Sentence. Once again any help appricated Salute

Will have a look, when I have sometime. Still looking for "Carr" the chap connected with the Isandkwana painting. So leave it with me. Perhaps Julian could give you some guildence on where to look.
