Rorkes drift Zulu side, there is a cemertary where men of the 24th and 82nd regiments are buried, Does anyone have further information on this cemertary. Were the soldiers of the 24th from the Battle of RD or Isandlwana ?

Local knowledge says the graves are from after 1879.John where did you get the information they were 24th.

Thanks for the photos. Glad you asked about the 24th. Trying to understand why they were buried on the Zulu side. Here's the artical some years after the battle.

Hi John
Thanks for posting the article first time Ive seen it. Really interesting to read about the 24th. There was a canteen on the Zulu side, Im told near the copse of trees, Its highly debatable who is buried there though. On my last visit I was told there was a grave map. after a lot of frustrating chasing around 'the map' that was for sale was actually a map of Rorkes Drift graves.
This photo is from one of the civilian graves in the enclosure.
