| 90th,
He could well be if you look at some of the other names at the bottom there.
Captain de Burgh - Captain Ulick de Burgh, 2nd NNC, later No.1 Troop, Natal Horse.
Captain Carrol - Lt. James (or Joshua) Carrol 2nd NNC.
Captain Holder - Lt. A. H. Halder 2nd NNC.
Lieuts Cook - Lt. John William Cooke 2nd NNC. Later Captain No. 2 Troop, Natal Horse.
Oswald
Starke - Lt. A .B. Starke 2nd NNC.
Platner - Lt. J. Gustav Plattner 2nd NNC kia Nyezane 22nd January 1879.
Some other names fit the bill for other-ranks in the N.N.C. and later the Natal Horse such as Petrie who served in No. 3 Troop, Natal Horse.
I wonder if the errors are in the original source or the transcription on the Moles Genealogy site?
