Retired as Lieut.-Col. Barristerat-law, Inner Temple, 1888 . Member of the British Medical Society..m. d. in Edinburgh, Jan. 23, 1911."

Date of Birth - 26th July 1839 Assistant Surgeon - 30th September 1864 Surgeon - 1st March 1873 Surgeon Major - 30th September 1876 South African War - 1879 - Zulu Campaign. Medal. Source ‘1884 Army List’ (p 978 & 1359)
(4th July 1879 to 26th October 1879). Died 23rd January 1911. South Africa Medal with clasp 1879.

Hi All David Renton AMS served zulu war, born 1836/37 Ayton Berwickshire, to Retired Pay 1884-1893, died Edinburgh 1911, buried Ayton Churchyard Berwickshire. Rai Keynshamlighthorse.
