| Hang on boys, something not quite right here.
The Honourable Edward Cornish Poole ? Regimental Sergeant Major?
His papers say he was a labourer when he enlisted, he was imprisoned for desertion, and he never rose above the rank of Corporal!
Fishy or what?

| The 'From' date is the date he departed UK not the date he arrived in South Africa. |
