Thanks Steve glad you told me. I don't know why, but I just can't stand novels about the Zulu War! I read one once or should I say half read it, a right load of crap, it's was call Zulu Sun.

I must admit that some of the factual books drive me mad, so fictional AZW novels are definitely not my cup of tea either. Having said that, you can see from the extract that Mace has done a lot of work and it doesn't read badly. Introduction by Ian Knight.

I haven't read Brutal Valour , but I have spoken to the Author on Ian Knight's FB Group page , it is indeed a fictional story , but , the historical aspect is 100 % correct , James wanted to get the historical part down correctly , fairly certain IK helped him with some / many of the details etc . 90th
