Happy New Year gents,

I've seen in another place a notice of a lecture on this fascinating man coming soon. Does anyone know where he is buried?
His profile here says St Marys Church, but not the address.
Any offers?

Regards

I know the woman who's doing the Gardner lecture , she's been researching him thoroughly , she has contact with his relatives , I can assure you she will know her / his stuff . She's done from memory 3 - 4 trips with Ian & Co , I've had the pleasure of her company on two such trips .

Hi Tim
A friend of mine was the instigator of the Gardner clean up , she held a Memorial Service and Presentation on Gardner at the local Church on the 22nd January 17 , the Presentation featured the very Readings and Hymns that were used on the day of Gardner's Funeral , which was on the 15th Jan 1908. She , and her partner paid for all costs , and also managed to raise nearly 400 GBP's for the Church in the process . A job well done I believe .

An excellent job - I remember the headstone was quite hard to read when I visited some time ago, good to see it's been rectified.

Regards,

Tim

Does anyone know why the gravestone was replaced with Coulston as his middle name when the authoress states this is an error and is Colstoun?
