Subject: Britains AZW figures. Sat Jan 21, 2017 10:32 pm
I recently acquired a few sets from the Britain's AZW series. While the various actions and vignettes depicted are good, it is the painting of the figures that I am very disappointed with. I have a few Britain's ACW series and most of these have been beautifully painted but the AZW figures are, in my opinion, very poor. To me it seems that very little time has been spent on painting the figures with much overpainting onto adjacent areas and very poor facial finishes. And the Zulu figures all appear to be wearing identical uniforms! Very sloppy.
I recall reading somewhere that the ACW series was Brittain's best seller and if that is correct, it may account for the rushed work on the figures. Has anyone else noted this, or am i being just a bit too pedantic?

Perhaps I do have duds but they all look pretty ordinary.

Actually 90th I have compared mine to the Britains figures and I see now that the ones I have are NOT Britains. My mistake. I had assumed they were Britains but now i can see they are not.
