| Hi Wilko and welcome I'm no expert but I think you may need to be a member for a week or so before you are able to view any pics , I know that's the case with the Private Messaging Service . Happy to be corrected by admin if I'm incorrect . 90th |

| You possibly looking at posts that contained the photobucket photos. Which don't exsist anymore. |

| Hi, We have just changed our internet to BT Superfast Broadband and I am having trouble logging on to the forum (on laptop, tablet or Phone) I have logged on to post this message via remote data. When I try to open the 1879 ZW forum, I get the following screen. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Has anyone got any ideas? Ta Sime |

| Its something to do with the new Wifi set up because mobile data and BT 'hotspot' works OK.
Its not just this forum, it seems to be everything.
I'll get on to BT |

| I don't do Windows, but it looks to me like the computer/tablet is not recognising the new router connection. it will have a different access code to the old one.

| You have probably tried this already, but if not try this sequence. Change the DNSs in the router to Google. Hit save. Then wait around 30 seconds and then do a normal power cycle of the router. Power cycle not factory reset.
Power the router up and check that the DNSs have changed and then run the cache clear command (as in your first post) to clear the pc's dns cache.
Failing that speak to your BB provider. It's not Talk Talk by any chance? |

| I've got google chrome on window's 10.. not a new update to ten..its a new machine. iv'e been doing this dance for a good few year's. all my essential programmes are stored on various external hardrives. so the first thing i do when i get a new machine, this a laptop by the way.. is to disable all their s..t.. norton anti virus, windows defender, and really get into the ribs of the privacy setting's.. ( to prevent targeted advertising, and data theft,) which might seem strange to some that i disable the anti virus, i think google and all there ilk routinely gather their user's personal preferences, cookies. right. so i have been with bt infinity for ever... we have the latest router. the first thing i do is get google chrome, forgetting my personal ethics, it's the biggest and best, reliable and fast, when one tailor's it to one's own need's.. then i get avg antivirus free edition. never let's me down.. the badgering for me to upgrade is not too intrusive and get's lost after a couple of click's.. next.. and very IMPORTANT is c cleaner, it's a free download, and keep's your machine very clean, its very easy to use and when you do it daily... it's the bomb. u tube it.. bt infinity with chrome, well, to think we are so lucky to live in these time's, and i as an mature person.. remember what came before!. this was just a personal perspective. |

| Frank, I was a bit lke you, I had to wind mine up with a key !! I'm OK now I even use CCleaner, have for years actually. My newest version keeps finding 5MB to delete forever and ever, don't know why. I think computers have a mind of their own and are just playing with us. I can see why Pete is the man on this site !! HE TALKS THE TALK !! |
