Zulu War Medal 1877-1879

25B/ 1371 Pte T Morrison 2/24 Foot

This medal is recorded in the book the Silver Reef by Norman Holmes on page 91 " attested on 8th -3-1877 posted to 2nd 24th on 11-5-1877 served in B company at the defense of Rorkes Drift.
also served in India returned England 26-04-1883.
discharge not recorded
medal for south Africa with clasp 1877- 8-9
reference C & B roll on D list.

please be advised that near to the claw fitment to the left hand side obverse the medal was tested by a jeweler for silver content. this mark doe not interfere with naming on the medal.

Medal condition is VF
