| Its with great sadness that I have to tell the forum that Charles Aikenhead my very dear friend has died in an accident at the hotel. It seems that a fire break exercise got out of control and spread to one of the hotel buildings. In fighting the fire Charles died. There is at this stage no other news but I will will pass on anything that comes up.

| Charles Aikenhead was commissioned into the Irish Guards from RMA Sandhurst on 17 December 1965. He retired from the British Army as a Captain in March 1974 due to ill health. |

| It is very sad. Charles was such a nice person, and he always gave me a fantastic deal when I stayed at his establishment. His business venture has employed a great many of the local community, and he will be greatly missed by such a lot of people. He was a true gentleman. Thank you, Charles. |
