Yet another Hill of the Sphinx thread

Looking for a reasonably priced (aren't we all!) copy of the Hill of the Sphinx by FWD Jackson for a possible 60th birthday present later this year. A few of you may have heard of it before

Good Luck finding a cheap copy , they usually go for near 100 GBP's which at least might include postage ! .

Tell me about it. But if you don't ask you don't get and I might just be the lucky so-and-so who catches the person who just wants rid of it for not too much. I've had my fingers crossed that the stash of new copies that has been mentioned in myth will be found!

Morning Gary.Yep, postal service is in a bit of a mess, everything I do these days is by courier. Im busy negotiating with a local to buy my whole library. We shall see.
Dont get your hopes up to high on a tour this year, apart from the 25000 a day infections there is pretty close to an insurection going on in Zulu land at present.

Yes I think I've given up getting to Zululand this year , will have to be next year...... and will be for 2 months ! , that's the plan , Kate will accompany me with possibly another for part of the time we're there . . I spoke to Cam today for well over an hour .

May be you could do a specialist tour focusing on the 1856 War of the Children especially Ndondakusuka.

Because that appears the way things are going.

I should be out there in April 2022, but I have my doubts.

And I wouldn't send any to Australia with all their flash floods and forest fires.
Your best bet is to send them to the UK
I know of a good storage facility in the SE of England that would be happy to look after them for you

I've taken some soundings as to their current value from various forum members and others and intend to make these available at a VERY reasonable price. I know that's what David Jackson would have wanted. So, if you want one, please pm me.

Im commenting purely to get this to the top of the list of posts, with apologies to Kate the Bountyful.

As soon as I saw the post from Julian I messaged straight away. Cant pass up the opportunity to finally own a copy of this book and at such a good price. Also just bought the last copy of Isandlwana: Solving the Enigma from amazon. Very much looking forward to going through it Frank Allewell
