Morning All,
We're in the process of moving house and I'm looking forward to properly displaying my ever growing collection of Anglo Zulu War Weaponry, and before you fret, I have permission from the Boss [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] .
I wondered what kind of wall fixings other collectors use to securely mount their displays, obviously dependent on the weight of each object and the type of wall.
I am looking for something that doesn't detract from each item but is secure nonetheless.
Many thanks in advance,

Hi Phil For knoberries and spears a thin piece of brass wire wrapped around just below the blade/ball then attached to a nail on the wall. Support the tail end with a second nail if you want them at an angle. For shields use wire to attach the pole to the shield then put wire round the pole so the pole is taking the weight and hang. The brass wire blends with the dark wood/metal. A decorative Victorian umbrella stand is good if you have a large selection of knobkerries. Kate

The more I think about it, the more I think brass hooks might be the answer. There is nothing the grandkids love more than being chased round the house by their crazy granddad holding one or more iklwa [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
