Trooper H. G. Gibson #361 joined the Natal Mounted Police July 7. 1879. He was not listed on the medal roll for the N.M.P. which makes me believe he did not arrive in Natal until later. He is not listed as having served with the Empress Eugenie's Escort, but he did serve in the 1st Boer War in 1881.
