Film Zulu: Private Henry Hook: Rourke's Drift... It'd take an Irishman to give his name to a rotten stinking middle o' nowhere hole like this.

The Western Mail, Thursday, December 11, 1879.

The remains of Col Northey, of 60th Rifles who was killed at Ginghilhova, Zululand, were interred at Epsom cemetery on Tuesday, beside those of his father, Capt Northey a Peninsular and Waterloo veteran.
The Colonels remains were conveyed from Woolwich to Epsom by road. A large number of persons attended.
Respect being paid by the tradesmen and others.

So many conflicts in the Victorian era. My they rest in peace.
