PostSubject: William Moreland 27th (Inniskilling) Regiment of Foot   William Moreland 27th (Inniskilling) Regiment of Foot EmptySat Sep 10, 2022 11:18 am

Bearing in mind the Regiment he joined, the 27th Foot, and the fact it mentions the Zulu War after the 1st Boer War in the article would suggest he did not take part in the AZW of 1879.
However just in case more evidence comes to light and the fact there is a photograph of him, I have decided to put up this post.

Hi All,
Nothing on this Irishman. However did find William Moreland No.953 1/13th on Zulu Roll, 1871 in Gibralter, re-engaged further service 19 Nov 1874, to South Africa, discharged 20 Nov 1886, possibly died 6 Jan 1938, Kings Stanley Gloucester.
