Hi All,
It is Harloven Morley Saunders 58th Zulu War who is mentioned on his brothers grave in the above link he died in Meran Austria on 8 Nov 1901 which you can just make out in the photo taken by Tim Needham.

after a lot of digging i finally found Josiah Saunders Corp 1089 ASC Ordnance during the Zulu War medal with no clasp. He was commissioned 19 Sept 1895 and Capt 1 April 1896 at Fleetwood. He retired 1917 and was still on the Army list in 1940. The 1901 census Government Stores Burscough Junction, Lathorn Omskirk, he is a Capt HM Army born 1858 Ablington Cambridgeshire, M.to Kate with 5 Children 1st born 1889 Ireland the last born 1898 in Fleetwood. He married Kate Myklraine in 1878 Chorlton Cheshire. He dies 1945 in Formby Lancs nr Omskirk, and is buried in Freshfields Churchyard Formby.

I have a minor variation to you.

According to The London Gazette I have the following:

Conductor to Quartermaster, with the honorary rank of Lieutenant - 19/9/1895.

Quartermaster to Assistant Commissary of Ordnance, with the honorary rank of Lieutenant - 1/4/1896.

Assistant Commissary of Ordnance to Deputy Commissary of Ordnance with the honorary rank of Captain - 1/6/1898.

Commissary of Ordnance & Honorary Major Josiah Saunders retained on the Active List, Article 120 Royal Warrant for Pay & Promotion, 1913 - 7/9/1914.
