We are all here to communicate and enjoy the various discussions and information on the Anglo Zulu War of 1879. Opinions will vary, you will agree and disagree with one another, we will have debates, and so it goes.

Enlisted 22 Nov 1876 age 18, to ASC Transport No.T1429, to SA 22 Feb 1879, Durban 31 March 1879, in hospital 8 days with a boil Aug/Sept 1879, to UK 19 March 1880, discharged 22 Nov 1888, 12 yrs. 1911 census Altleborough Nuneaton married to sarah one child. 1939 Freer st Nuneaton still Married, Coal Miner Rtd. Death Reg Nuneaton 1945. Rai Keynshamlighthorse |

| 1901 Census Samuel Charles Sidwell aged 41, living at 120 Gadsby Road Attleborough, Nuneaton, Eng. Also living at the property at the time, Sarah Sidwell aged 36. Eliza Ellen Sidwell aged 11.
Married Sarah Baxter 1st qtr 1886, aged 20.
1881 Census Sarah's home is at 11 Harrell street and later is listed as a General serv(Domestic). In the property at the time lived the following: Clare Baxter 8, Henry Baxter 13 Isaac Baxter 4 Michael Baxter 20 Sarah Baxter 15 William Baxter 50 Eliza Kinder 2 Mary Kinder 27 Thomas Kinder 27
Footnote states Mary to be Eliza's sister.
