| The only clue here as to his regiment/unit in the AZW is in the list of mourners where it lists a 'Royal Marine Officer' [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Kentish Express - Friday 25 January 1946

| Kate,
I can find no one named William Arnold on the Royal Navy's Medal Roll for the South Africa Medal. He did not serve in the Royal Navy or Royal Marines during the Zulu War either aboard ship or with the Naval Brigade or as a member of the Marine Battalion. Possibly he was an army man.
