Hi All
I think this should read Colenbrander. Col Wilhelm Colenbrander 1856-1918 served Zulu, Matabele and Boer War. He died in 1918 and is buried in Brixton Main Cemetery, Johannesburg, S. Africa. He appears on both the findagrave website and the eGGsa south African gravestone websites.
Is this the same Colenbrander who drowned filming Symbol of Sacrifice.

Hi Rai
Yes Colenbrander was playing Lord Chelmsford , was told it was unsafe and not attempt the crossing , he decided to push ahead and paid the price .

I have been to the spot at the Klip river where Colenbrander met his demise. There cannot be many members of the forum that can claim that.
