18 years old Ordinary Seaman 2nd Class Frank Woodrow did serve with the Naval Brigade from HMS Boadicea during the Zulu War for which he was entitled to the South Africa Medal with the "1879" clasp.  In May 1879 he was advanced to Ordinary Seaman.  The 1881 census shows that he was aboard "Boadicea" during the 1st Boer war and was not ashore with the Naval Brigade in the action at Majuba Hill.

Hi All,
Frank Woodrow was born circa 1860 in Thorpe Norwich Norfolk. He was on the Wildfire in 1891 and still in the Navy in 1901. He dies in 1923 Depwade Norfolk District.
