Bexhill-on-Sea Chronicle - Saturday 05 August 1911

Born 2nd November in Ireland. He died about 1940 27 Dean Park Road, Bournemouth, England.
His first wife was Maria Susannah Wilhelmina 'Minnie' Browne. His second wife was Margaret, widow of James Jones. No children with either

He enlisted in the army in 1876. He also served in the Anglo Boer war of 1881 and the Nile Expedition of 1884-5 where he was mentioned in despatches, promoted.(Khedive Star),
of Sacred Treasure, 2nd class, Japan.

Arrived March 1879 at Durban and remained there on general duties until the end of the war

Francis was cremated in the North Cemetery Bournemouth.
