PostSubject: Captain C F Winn   Captain C F Winn EmptyTue Sep 20, 2022 4:12 pm

DEATH OF CAPT. C. F. WINN, GOOLE. The death has taken place of Captain C. F. Winn, at Manchester, following an operation for appendicitis last week. The deceased one time resided Manor House, Old Goole, and later removed Howden, where kept the Neptune Inn. From there went to Hull, where conducted the Waveriev Hotel, and finally settled Manchester. The late Mr Winn joined the Army when very young, and took part the Zulu War, where he was wounded. On the conclusion of the war he spent some time in India, conducting big game shooting expeditions in the jungle. Afterwards he met with some success in the Kimberley diamond The deceased was brother the late W. W. Winn, a former stationmaster at Goole.

Hull Daily Mail - Friday 31 May 1912

Sorry about the odd presentation but the archive would not show me the newspaper so I have had to try and cut and paste in the wording.
Wording wise I'm not sure if everything above is correct. I will try and find another copy.

Found one the name is C F Winn
