Hi All
Samuel Atkins Private No.1889 1st KDGds Zulu War. His WW1 enlistment papers gives him joining 18th Batt London Regt, aged 54 + 9 months, ex 1st KDGds on 19 Oct 1914, his address 22 castle road Kentish Town.. He was transferred to the Royal Defence Corps 29 April 1916 and was discharged 18 Aug 1916 after 1 year and 307 days service it also gives his date of death as 19 October 1918.
The 1911 census address is St Pancras. a house painter born 1859 Kentish Town.
He is buried in St Prancras Cemetery.
He is not the man in the Link. S Atkings 17th Lcrs.
