Brevet Lieut.- Colonel Hazelrigg 2/21t Scots Fusiliers, died from enteric fever on Friday morning

AZW medal roll has him as

2/21st Major Hazlerigg A.G. 1879 clasp
Served with the Battalion throughout the war. Commanded the three cos. despatched to the Doornburg. Constructed Fort Ayr. Was in command of the batt. at the battle of Ulundi (M+S)

Hi All.
Both Hazelrigg and Justice also a number of the 2/21st appear on the Memorial to the 1st Royal Scots Fusiliers at Church St Kerkstraat Cemetery, Pretoria West. This memorial appears on the eGGsa website of South Africa. There is also a family memorial to Hazelrigg in the Parish Church, Lyme Regis, Dorset.

Natal Witness Thursday 5th August 1880
The body of the late Colonel Hazlerigg will be exumed today and placed in another coffin and re interred, pending arrangements being completed for its transport to England
