Natal Witness 14th Janury 1879 KILLED BY NATAL RUM - On Wednesday evening a fine young soldier of the 99th Regiment died in the camp hospital at Durban through the above named fiendish spirit. The deceased who was previously in the 15th Regiment and volunteered for the Cape was only 19 years old and was named W. F. Crellin his home being at Glossop, Derby, England. One of the Royal Engineers suffering from the effects of drinking rum, lies in a very dangerous state

I see he isn't listed in Forsyth or Dutton , possibly because this took place before the 11th Jan ?? 90th
