It is with a heavy heart that I mourn the passing of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.

Rest now Mntwana.  A great guiding light of the Zulu Nation has gone out.

I count myself fortunate to have known His Royal Highness, who is now in the presence of The Light of World.  A phrase that he had treasured from his Sunday School days.

We will never see his like again, for he was a tangible link to the past and now that chain is broken.

One of the saddest days indeed. Mangosuthu Buthelezi was at one time the only person that stood between the fragmentation of zulu land into small 'Bantustans' by the National Party and the wish for a united Zululand.
I have been fortunate in my life to have met him.
Rest in Peace Sir.

As mentioned by JY & Frank it's a very sad day , here's hoping that his passing wont lead to a fragmentation of ideals within the Royal Family .

My deepest condolences to the family,  A very sad time indeed.  I hope and pray his shoes can be filled and the lives of the Zulu people as a whole be improved, for it is long overdue.

A sad time indeed.
I was very privileged to have met him on a couple of ocassions and will never forget him recounting his family history to us over the dinner table at iSandlwana Lodge.
May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
